Dunfallandy Cairn

Dunfallandy Cairn
Dunfallandy Cairn is an ancient monument located in the parish of Logierait, in the county of Perthshire, Scotland. The cairn stands on the floodplain of the River Tummel, approximately 16.0m in diameter and reaching a height of around 2.0m at the center. The site also features an elliptical stony bank, which is most obvious to the northwest but now very faint to the southeast. This bank measures around 31.0m by 28.5m NW-SE.

The cairn is believed to have been a significant site in ancient history, with evidence suggesting that it may have originally been a stone circle with a central cairn. Around the cairn, there were once standing stones, but these were removed around 1840 to repair the river embankment.
