Eas Urchaidh (4)
Eas Urchaidh ("Falls of Orchy") is the most obvious impressive waterfall on the River Orchy. Off one side of the river are the ancient Caledonian pinewoods of Allt Braighleachan.
The river has cut a rugged gorge through an outcrop of schistose pelite, including a lot of round potholes.
Having made photos at the bridge like everybody else years ago, this time I thought I'd fly the drone over the falls. I was impressed with the patterns of flowing water and sheer number of potholes visible.
