Foggy Exuberance
New Year's Eve 2023-24 had some impressively thick mist in parts, so I strolled down through local woods and found one of my favourite contorted characterful trees.
I don't often shoot primes in nature/landscape scenes, but had chosen to live with just the Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 for the walk. The reduced visibility helped soften the background and the fast aperture helped - using focus-stacking to limit the DoF precisely around the essential trees and branches, no further.
