Highland Boundary fault, Castle Toward, Cowal, Argyll
The ongoing project continues: flying the drone over various parts of the Highland Boundary Fault, from Stonehaven to Arran, via anywhere it's particularly obvious.
In this case, I'd planned a trip to the West Coast just up the road in Dunoon, so it would've been rude not to take a trip to the southern edge of Cowal, where the HBF cuts right across a quarter of the peninsula.
(If you look carefully, almost at the rightmose edge of the land, there's a fine line of trees with a driveway running out through greenery to meet Glenstriven Road by the shore. That's where the HBF comes in, making its way along the right side of the hill (Buachailean) past Innellan Hill before crossing the Clyde at Innellan again.)
