Lurking, Submerged
I've only recently discovered this area but it's fast become a favourite place for an afternoon's stroll - along the old former A9 road outside Calvine up to Clunes - with the advantage of overhanging tree cover to keep the worst of the weather at bay and some excellent geological structures visible in the River Garry. This is a few yards downstream from a well-known waterfall, an area in which two microdiorite and one felsite dyke intrude into the psammite and semipelite.
